A Farmer's Freezer

A cool, chilled autumn morning.

The drum filled with water; the fire fed to raise the temperature to boiling.

The chain come alongs and rope ready at hand.

The knives for cutting, stabbing and scraping.

A .22 and a club.

A wheelbarrow, a wagon, or the tail gate of a pickup truck to transport.

Soon lard to render.

 Ham, bacon, side.

Fresh, Smoked or sugar cure

 Chops and steaks.

 Sausage.

 Cracklins and chitlins.

Pickling and puddings.

To fill a farmer’s freezer.
